The Economic Institute is a modern educational and scientific structural unit of the State University of Economics and Technology, which provides a relevant training of specialists according to educational and professional programs of all the higher education levels including Junior Bachelor, Bachelor and Master in the fields of knowledge such as "Social and behavioral sciences", "Management and administration", "International relations", "Information technologies".

The main goal of the Economic Institute is to ensure the relevance and quality of higher education, the formation of a progressive personality and the education of a completely new generation of professionals who are able to work successfully in the competitive environment of Ukraine and beyond.
The Institute activity is aimed at first-rate preparation and pursuit of the education, learning and research at high level of excellence through the encouragement of a questioning spirit, extensive range of academic subjects in all major subject groups, close inter-relationship between teaching, scholarship, and research.
At the current stage of the State University of Economics and Technology the Economic Institute is one of the leading educational and scientific divisions of the University, which includes 4following departments:

- Accounting and Taxation Department
- Finance, Banking and Insurance Department
All the departments of the Economic Institute have common aim to solve the task of high-quality training of specialists who could effectively implement their business and professional skills and abilities under the condition of market relations globalization. The training of Junior Bachelors, Bachelors and Masters is based on innovative approaches and technologies for activating the educational process using the best achievements of international experience.
The best students of the Institute of Economics receive special scholarships according to program initiated by G. I. Gutovskyi, special regional scholarships for Dnipropetrovsk region higher educational institutions, scholarships of the President of Ukraine. Students exercise their right to international academic mobility through participation in the European Union's "Erasmus+" program, which gives them opportunity to study and do internships at leading higher education institutions abroad.
The Institute of Economics Student includes active and inspiring self-government. The Student Self-government Council of the institute is a young, ambitious team involved in the management process of the institute. The goal of the student self-government is students participation of in public life for the development of social qualities, the formation of an active life position and leadership qualities in young people.
Students of the institute participate in the creation of projects and startups, in particular, "Green Hub KEI.by.Krapka", the international competition of business projects "ABRIS" (Czestochowo, Poland), the contest "Business Trampoline" (Kyiv), the competition " Financial Security" (Cherkasy), "Hakathon" contest (Zaporizhia), events for International Mother Language Day, online "Miss Spring" contest, "Debates" and other social projects. The Student Self-government Council of the Institute initiates the students participation in numerous events for the multifaceted development of the University youth.
